I just read online that Paint Shop Pro excepts all of photoshops plugins. Is that true? I have found a couple available for photoshop that I would like. Now only if they would be somewhat cheaper.

As long as they have the .8BF extension they'll work in PSP. Smile

Adobe changed the Plugins format from PS 7 onward as The filters Incorporated in Photo shop where being illegally distributed around the net. But Most plug ins are compatible except The extencis range. Good ones like alien skin use there own sdk. That works with PSP
All Adobe-compatible plug-ins should work with PSP, but they must be 'code-compatible'. It means that they must be 16-bit for PSP 3. 32-bit filters generally have the extension ".8bf". Certain plugins require an extra DLL file such as msvcrt10.dll while other plugins apparently require plugin.dll from Adobe to work and it can make plugins work better.
Just a Legal point. The only ones that need Plugin dill are ones that are part of Photoshop and Photo express.
As you need a copy of them to run the filter legally then it stand to reason that it was installed with the program
