If you can't see thumbnails of the native PSPImage files in Windows Explorer, you can download a thumbnail image handler developed by Bot Productions. http://www.botproductions.com/pspthumb/overview.html. It's free.

If you save PSPX3 files in Photoshop's PSD format, you likely can't see thumbnails of those in Windows Explorer, either. There's a codec to fix that at Ardfry Imaging, http://www.ardfry.com/psd-codec/. It's not free, but there's a 15-day free trial. I haven't seen a free thumbnail image handler for PSD files.

An update on viewing thumbnails.

I found a free thumbnail generator for PSD files you may save from PSP. It's at Mystic Thumbs.

And the solution to the PSPImage thumbnails problem I posted earlier has stopped working on my system. I have seen posts on other forums that this problem may be restricted to Windows 7 64-bit setups only. Of course, there's been no admission from Corel that it may be their fault.

Hey OldRadioGuy,

Thanks for the information, I have not had this issue but is nice to know where to find it if and when I need it. I am on a 32 bit system at the moment, but my move up to 64 bit shortly.

Does not surprise me that Corel doesn't take any blame. Seems as though most companies don't until they are forced to do so and even then...

Since my last post on thumbnails, I've run some tests on my system, uninstalling the BotProductions thumbnail installer for PSP thumbs and the Mystic installer for PSD files. I ran a registry cleaner and then reinstalled both.

In Windows Explorer I'm now getting thumbnails for PSPImage files and PSD files "saved as" from PSPX3 (and two other photo editors). I also confirmed I now have thumbnails of the PSPTube files.

So, for now at least, the problem appears to be solved on my 64-bit system.

Just to clarify (or should that be tone map:¬) ) Is that with PSPP native Thumbnail handler or a reinstall of the Botprodutions handler

It is NOT with the native Thumbnail handler. It required the botproductions handler.
