I was playing around with the Feedback effect. Thanks for looking....

After---using the Feedback.....

That's a very cool looking effect.. Exactly, what feedback settings did you use to achieve this? I could see this coming in handy for different backgrounds.
G-r-r-r-r! I am so angry at myself! I tried to duplicate my steps to tell you the settings I used and, for the life of me, I can't! I've tried everything!
I'm sorry!
Here is the tut I followed--the underlined numbers are the one I used--but I don't remember the Feedback settings I used!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Create a new blank image 400X400 pixels.
Use a tube of a wineglass shape and center it....
Use the magic wand tool and click outside the wineglass.
Go to Selections>Invert.
Floodfill with gradient of choice (radial works good)
Go to Effects>Artistic Effects>Enamel and use the following settings:
Blur 100 or 74 Detail 51 or 50 Density 63 or 58 Angle 225 or 110 Color white
Go to Effects>Reflection Effects>Feedback and use the settings:
Opacity= 100, Intensity= 61, Horizontal Center= 0, Vertical Center= -100 (minus)
Selections none.
Effects>Reflection>Rotating Mirror and set all settings to 0 and check 'Reflect'.
Add a new layer, send to bottom, floodfill with the same gradient as you used for the wineglass.
Merge>Flatten.....Done!
I worked on this again last night and I STILL can't duplicate it! So-o-o frustrating! I did find out that it wasn't the Feedback settings that I changed. I'm pretty sure it was the Rotating Mirror settings that I changed and I played with it for an hour and cannot figure out what I did. I really wanted to do another one because it does look so cool! But, I give up! Sad
I do this all the time; I've lost count of the great effects and patterns I've lost because I thought I would remember my settings. This does look great though Smile
Thank you Jane! It just frustrates me to no end that I never could figure out what I did because I'd love to do it again!
One of the biggest reasons I started scripting and making preset labels. Tons of work lost to forgetfulness.
Great idea! I never thought of making a script! I will from now on!
