Lips and EyeLash brushes for Paint Shop Pro

lips and eyelash brushesI found a beautiful set of free Lips and Lashes brushes over at Devianart for Photoshop. However, the abr (Adobe brush file) was incompatible with all versions of Corel Paint Shop Pro. However, my wife owns a copy of Adobe Photoshop CS3 and I was able open them up in Photoshop and then export the brush set to a psd file. Furthermore, this then allowed me to open up the brush set in Paint Shop Pro and convert them to pspbrushes.

I have compressed them all into a zip file for your convenience that
you can download here.

Get Lips and Eyelash Brushes for PSP

To install these brushes:
1. Download and Unzip the file.
2. Browse to My Documents > My PSP Files > Brushes
3. Paste the files and/or the folder containing all the files in the brush directory.
4. Restart Paint Shop Pro.

NOTE: Alternatively, you can import them through Paint Shop Pro by going to File > Import > Custom Brush

Enjoy your new Brushes.

UPDATE: If you are having trouble unzipping the files and installing these brushes I have posted an in-depth How to unzip and install brushes tutorial for you to follow. Click here to view the tutorial.

This is great! Thank you so much for taking the time to help us all! I love taking photos of friends and family and playing around with them. This is a major time saver! I used to use a curved airbrush stamp thingy and had to adjust the rotation with each use and add each eyelash individually. OMG it was horrible, but thank you so much for finding this and sharing it with us!

To Charlotte, you just choose the paint brush (B) and go into the tiny box in the toolbar in which you choose which brush you are using.

  18. DMK on May 24th, 2008 9:22 am

Guys, you need to import the folder with the brushes into the directory of ‘My PSP Files’ in ‘Brushes’ folder. Open your programme, then they are installed….Go to your brushes, and you will see them.

I hope I explained well, English isn’t my first language.

How do you resize and rotate that eyelashes

  23. torQQue on June 16th, 2008 8:12 pm

You can resize the eyelashes simply by changing the brush size. If you need to rotate them, you can either rotate the brush before applying, or you can press “D” on your keyboard to pull the deform tool after they have been applied. The deform tool will allow you to scale, rotate, etc..

Hey. I just got paintshop 2 days ago. Therefore, i do not know how to put the brushes on paintshop. i just don’t get your directions. =/ it’s my first time. sorry. answer if u can.

After you download the brushes from the link above, you will then need to unzip them with winzip, winrar or some other compression/zip application. Actually, with XP or Vista all you should have to do is double click on the zip file and pick a location to extract its contents.

Anyway, once you get the file unzipped, you will have a folder named “PSP Lashes and Lips Brushes”

Right click on that folder and press COPY. Next browse to this directory -> My Documents > My PSP Files > Brushes. Once you are inside the BRUSH directory, right click and press PASTE.

Restart Paint shop pro and your brushes will be available to you.

hey they say for psp but when I download them it opens in photoshop

  27. torQQue on June 19th, 2008 6:47 am

    Becky,

Paste them in your PSP Brush directory and they will work fine. Sounds like Photoshop has set itself as the default program for the extension pspbrush. If you want to correct this double click on your C drive, then go to TOOLS > FOLDER OPTIONS > FILE TYPES. Now scroll down until you see the pspbrush extension. Click on it and hit change and select paint shop pro as the default program for controlling the pspbrush extension.

Alright i got how and where to put the eye lashes, and i see others have had problems with “unzipping” them. There is No tab or buttom to unzip them. Where i do i look for that option.

how do you unzip the folder?

  31. torQQue on June 21st, 2008 7:59 am

    Hannah,

After you download the brushes from the link above, you will then need to unzip them with winzip, winrar or some other compression/zip application. You can download winrar or winzip from download.com. Either application will work.

Actually, with XP or Vista all you should have to do is double click on the zip file, and pick a location to extract its contents.
